What is NLP?

NLP is short for NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING, dates back to the early 1970’s and  has been described as being “the psychology of excellence.”

Neuro – relates to the brain and what happens in your mind

Linguistic – relates to language and how you may use it

Programming – relates to patterns of behaviour which you learn and repeat

NLP is recognised world-wide as being a powerful tool for accelerating learning and bringing about rapid change. It is used across the board, from elite sportsmen and women, to professional and “every day” personal life settings.

NLP can give you a greater understanding of your own thoughts, feelings and reactions – and those of others.

It can improve the effectiveness and impact of your communication with others, thus enhancing relationships – personal or professional.

It can help you manage your emotions, leading to more resourceful thoughts and behaviour – helping you break free from unwanted habits or behaviour.

If you wish to change beliefs which do not support you, NLP can help.

If you are stuck in a negative mental state and want to feel different, NLP may be for you.

NLP can help you develop flexibility of thought – enhancing your self confidence and self esteem and creating options you had previously never thought of.

It can assist you in your goal setting and achievement –in understanding what you want, why you want it and how to maximise your ability to achieve it.

NLP helps you examine and understand your values and beliefs, leading to inner harmony and congruence within your life.

These are just a handful of ways in which NLP may be of benefit to you.
